Purpose of the app
Converter is a video converter for Android. The app lets you compress videos, convert them to other formats, remove audio, trim and crop videos, and extract audio or a single image from a video.
Local processing
Video processing happens entirely on your device. Video content is not uploaded to or processed on any server operated by us.
Video selection
To select a video, the app uses Android's built-in photo/video picker. This gives the app access only to the specific video you select, not to your entire media library.
Saved results
Converted videos, extracted audio files and images are saved to the public Downloads folder of your device (in a "Converter" subfolder) via the Android MediaStore interface, where you can view and manage them.
Internet connection
An internet connection is required to start a conversion, because the app is funded by advertising and an ad needs to load. Your video content itself is not transmitted over the internet.
Advertising and consent
The app displays ads via Google AdMob (banner, native and interstitial ads). For users in the EEA/UK, consent is requested via the Google User Messaging Platform. Advertising identifiers, device information and usage data may be processed by Google and its advertising partners according to their own privacy policies.
No user account
This app does not require a user account provided by us and does not transmit personal data to us.
Data deletion
You can delete saved output files at any time using a file manager app or the Downloads app. Uninstalling the app removes all remaining local app data.
