App-specific privacy information: MultiTools
Purpose of the app
MultiTools is a tool collection for Android. It includes device and network information, a network scanner, speed test, traceroute, DNS lookup, Docker management, NFC tools, a QR code generator, a Wi-Fi file manager, sensor displays and a system tester for device hardware.
Local processing
Most functions are processed locally on your device. MultiTools does not require a user account and does not send your personal data to us, except for the traceroute location lookup and the developer device check described below.
Device and network information
To display device, network and Wi-Fi information, the app reads technical data such as device model, Android version, battery, storage, IP addresses, network name (SSID), BSSID, signal strength and mobile network information. On Android, reading the Wi-Fi network name requires the location permission; the app does not use this permission to track your location. This information is only displayed in the app.
Network scanner
The network scanner sends connection and reachability requests to devices in your local network to show which devices are reachable. Results are displayed in the app and are not transmitted to us.
Speed test
During a speed test, the app transfers test data to and from the speed test server you select. The server operator can see your IP address and the time of the test. Speed test results and logs are stored locally on your device. If you export results as a PDF and share them, the receiving app or service processes the file according to its own privacy policy.
Traceroute and location lookup
Traceroute sends network packets to the target you enter. To show the approximate location of the hops on a map, the public IP addresses of the hops are sent to our own geolocation service (geo.whazza.de). This service returns approximate location information (such as country, city and provider) for these IP addresses. The request is processed for the purpose of providing this function and is not used for advertising or profiling.
DNS lookup
For DNS lookups, the domain you enter is sent to the DNS resolver you select (for example Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, Google 8.8.8.8 or Quad9 9.9.9.9). The respective resolver processes the request according to its own privacy policy.
Docker
If you use the Docker tool, you enter connection data for your own servers (hostname or IP address, port, username, password, SSH key or Portainer API token). This data is stored locally on your device and encrypted using the Android Keystore. The app connects only to the servers you specify (via SSH or the Portainer API) to display and manage containers, logs and statistics. This data is not sent to us.
Wi-Fi file manager
The Wi-Fi file manager starts a web server on your device in your local network, allowing you to access files on your device from a browser. For this, the app requests access to all files (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). Files are transferred only between your device and the browser that connects to it within your network; they are not uploaded to us. Access can be protected by a password, which is stored locally and encrypted. While the server is running, a notification is shown (foreground service).
NFC tools
The NFC tools read and write NFC tags. Tag contents are processed locally. If you set up NFC actions (for example opening a link or setting an alarm), the app executes these actions on your device when the tag is scanned.
QR code generator
QR codes are generated locally on your device. The content you enter (for example links, Wi-Fi credentials, contact data or payment links) is only encoded into the QR code. If you add a logo, the app accesses only the image you select. Exported QR codes are stored on your device or shared with the app you choose.
System tester and sensors
The system tester checks hardware components such as display, speakers, vibration, microphone, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, biometrics and sensors. For the microphone test, the audio signal is processed only in real time to display the level; no recordings are stored or transmitted. Biometric verification is performed by Android; the app does not receive biometric data. Sensor values are only displayed in the app.
Permissions
Depending on the function used, the app requests the following permissions: internet and network status, Wi-Fi status, location (to read the Wi-Fi network name), nearby Wi-Fi devices, NFC, access to all files (Wi-Fi file manager), notifications and foreground service, microphone (microphone test), Bluetooth (Bluetooth test), biometrics, phone status (mobile network information), vibration and setting alarms (NFC actions). You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.
Advertising and consent
The app is funded by advertising and displays ads via Google AdMob (banner, interstitial and rewarded ads). Some tools can only be used after watching rewarded ads. For users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, consent is requested via the Google User Messaging Platform. Depending on your choice, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, usage and diagnostic data according to their own privacy policies. You can change your consent at any time in the app settings.
Firebase Analytics and Remote Config
The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app and its tools are used (for example which tools are opened, whether ads were watched, app version, device model, country and an app instance ID). The data is used in aggregated form to improve the app and its monetization. The app also uses Firebase Remote Config to load app settings (for example ad intervals) from Google servers; technical data such as the app instance ID and IP address may be processed in the process. Firebase is a service of Google Ireland Limited. Analytics data is only collected in accordance with your consent choice where consent is required.
Internet connection and ad blockers
To unlock tools with rewarded ads, an internet connection is required and ads must be able to load. The app technically checks whether ads can be loaded (for example whether ad domains are blocked by a DNS-based or app-based ad blocker). This check is performed locally on the device; the result is not sent to us. If ads cannot be loaded, the affected tools remain locked.
No sale of data
MultiTools does not sell your personal data.
Data deletion
All locally stored data (settings, speed test logs, Docker connections, passwords, NFC actions and similar) can be deleted by removing entries in the app, clearing the app data in Android settings or uninstalling the app. For privacy questions, contact whazza83@gmx.de.
Developer device check
When the app starts, it sends a pseudonymized device identifier (a SHA-256 hash of the Android ID, which cannot be converted back to the original ID), the package name and the app version to our server (wallpaperchecker.life4gaming.de). This is used solely to recognize the developer's own test devices, on which ads and restrictions are disabled for testing. The result is cached on the device for a limited time.
No other data is transmitted. The identifier is not used for advertising, tracking or profiling and is not shared with third parties. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in testing the app without generating invalid ad traffic).

2. General information
Protecting your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy explains which data may be processed when using our apps, for what purposes this data is used, and what rights you have.
The actual data processing depends on the specific app and the functions you use. Many functions are processed locally on your device. Where third-party services such as advertising networks are used, data may be processed by those providers according to their own privacy policies.
3. Legal basis
Where applicable, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for providing app functions, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for legitimate interests such as security, stability and app improvement, and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent is requested, for example for personalized advertising or optional permissions.
4. Permissions
Some apps request permissions only when required for a specific function. You can deny or revoke permissions at any time in your device settings. If a required permission is denied, the related function may not work or may only work in a limited way.
5. Third-party services
Some apps may use third-party services such as Google Play services, Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Google Maps or similar SDKs, depending on the app. These services may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, crash information, diagnostics, approximate location, interaction data or similar technical data.
Please also review Google’s privacy information: Google Privacy Policy.
6. Data retention and deletion
Data stored only locally on your device can usually be deleted by deleting app data or uninstalling the app. If an app provides an account or server-based functions, you can request deletion of your account or related data by contacting us at the email address listed above.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability or objection to processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent at any time.
8. Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this privacy policy if app functions, legal requirements or third-party services change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
